HAMWWA has successfully conducted 4 weeks special English language and utility (electrical connection) course for climbers. One of the HAMWWA's well wisher and manager of Three Jewels Adventure Kathmandu, Mr. Amber Tamang sponsored most of the tuition fees for 30 climbing guides/Sherpas learning 1 month long English Language Course. The fund was raised through his trekking client/friend Mr.Phil Doyle from Australia.
HAMWWA organized blood donation program in Nagarkot in coordination with Red Cross Society of Bhaktapur Branch where altogether 27 people donated blood in the program. The blood donation program was concluded with the Electric Equipment Utility and Basic Photography Training. The electric equipment utility and basic photography ideas training were highly appreciated by all participants and it was the first course of its kind. Since it's learned as highly useful, HAMMWA has listed this program to run every year during the climbing off season.
In many difficult situations, HAMWWA members have involved in volunteer rescue operation and saved life of many tourists, trekkers and mountain workers. The occasional rescue operation initiated by HAMWWA has been highly appreciated. HAMWWA further hopes to extend such humanitarian support to save the life of many people in days to come.
Other Humanitarian Support:
Considering the pitiable condition of many poor and helpless people in high hills and mountains, HAMWWA distributed warm cloths to the poor and needy families of the remote areas of Everest Regions named Thame, Solaban, Waku, Kurima and Rolwalling VDC. The cloths were donated by Mr. Fredrik Syberg and his colleague Saim from Norway. HAMWWA expresses sincere thanks to Mr. Fredrik Syberg and his team for collecting, packaging and sending cloths to Nepal.
