However, it renders humanitarian supports to the needy, hapless and poor children of other mountainous districts as well. Working as a porter or tourist guide is the age of long profession o Sherpas living in a mountainous region. Although they are used to climbing ups and downs of the hills and mountains in a course if the work, the large section of these workers are still unaware of their occupational health and safety. As a result, they face many problems, challenges and difficult situations. They are most often exposed to dreadful accidents, injuries and sometimes even death in the course of their work. Considering this bitter fact, HAWWMA organized multi-dimensional programs/activities I.e. Skill development, Training, Educational Support Program and Community Support Programs to reduce the risk and vulnerability of the mountain workers and their families. Besides this, the organization has been providing possible support to the poor, helpless, disabled persons and also to those who have lost their family members and relatives caused by sickness, accident and other kinds of risks while performing their works.
